Pityful a rethoric question ran over her cheek, then she continued her way. On her way she met a copy.

But nothing the copy said could convince her and so it didn’t take long until a few insidious Copy Writers ambushed her, made her drunk with Longe and Parole and dragged her into their agency, where they abused her for their projects again and again. And if she hasn’t been rewritten, then they are still using her.

We often hear rumors that sunscreen prevents the production of vitamin D, but is this really true? A dermatologist from overseas explains the relationship between vitamin D and sunscreen.

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that dissolves easily in oil and is essential for maintaining the health of the body. It is generally found in fish and mushrooms, and is biosynthesized not only through diet, but also by direct exposure of the skin to sunlight.

Dr. Fatima Firth, a dermatologist based in Michigan, said, "Vitamin D is one of the nutrients needed to maintain strong bones and support a healthy immune system. It also plays an important role in the regeneration and repair of cells, including the skin," she commented in The Zoe Reports. Therefore, a lack of vitamin D "can cause dry and weakened skin, as well as inflammation and worsening of skin diseases such as psoriasis and eczema.

Is it true that wearing sunscreen causes vitamin D deficiency?

So, if vitamin D is biosynthesized when the skin is exposed to direct sunlight, does this mean that people who wear sunscreen every day to block UV rays are deficient in vitamin D?

Quite frankly, the answer is no. Dr. Firth mentions, "Studies have shown that sunscreen does not stop the biosynthesis of vitamin D. "Many researchers have not been able to prove that daily use of sunscreen leads to vitamin D deficiency. This is due to the fact that even if you apply a perfect sunscreen, it cannot completely block 100% of UV rays. Therefore, vitamin D will continue to be produced even when sunscreen is applied," Dr. Firth asserted.

However, it is not true to say that sunscreens are completely ineffective in protecting against UV rays. Dr. Firth says, "A 97% sunscreen effect is much better than no sunscreen at all. There is no need to stop wearing sunscreen at the expense of increasing the risk of skin cancer," he said.

What if I want to go out in the sun?

In addition to the biosynthesis of vitamin D, sunlight also has other benefits such as reducing stress.

Rowan Hallfarise, global educator at QMS Medicosmetics, says, "If you want to take in vitamin D in the sun, avoid the hours between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., when the UV rays are strongest. If you want to take in vitamin D in the sun, avoid the high UV hours of 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and sunbathe early in the morning or evening with sunscreen on.

Vitamin D, which is essential for maintaining a healthy body, is a vitamin that is easily deficient even when sunbathing, so it is important to take vitamin D in the form of food or supplements.
